Cloud9 Naturopathy

What naturopaths do

We listen, because you know the most about your life

Your health journey is built collaboratively with us to provide you with individualised step-by-step plans to re-establish the conditions for health and help remove the obstacles to healing.

We blend traditional medicine and modern science holistically

Modern naturopathy draws on both holistic practices of ancient healing systems (e.g. Western herbalism, Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine) and modern scientific insights to assess how the body functions. From the biochemical to the whole body, holism in health means considering interactions within the body and between us and our external environment.

We deep dive to treat the cause for lasting wellness

In the short term, we treat the symptoms. But for sustainable wellness, we also target the underlying causes. With the information you provide, and additional testing if necessary, we deep dive to find or confirm what’s triggering and sustaining your ill health.

We tailor treatment to your healing pace, budget and safety

If you’re generally healthy with lots of energy, you might need just a few visits. If you’ve been unwell for 6 months or more, and you’re exhausted, you’ll need more time to recover. We match the pace to your vitality, how long you’ve been unwell and your recovery speed. Safety is paramount: we’re trained to craft herbs, supplements and their dosages carefully and check for possible interactions.

We support you to achieve optimal wellness

We help you every step of the way. Help us to help you by following your treatment plan and returning for the next stage.

Cloud9 Naturopathy looks forward to working with you!

Meet Alexa

She combines traditional approaches with scientific research to bring together diet and lifestyle assessment and modifications with naturopathic herbal medicine and nutraceuticals. She has helped people with a wide range of conditions including: autoimmune conditions, food intolerances, insomnia, menstrual disorders, pain management, preconception planning, skin and scalp disorders, smoking cessation, and nutritional deficiencies.

Alexa comes to naturopathy through a passion for understanding humans, plants, disease and, for her, its natural meeting place: herbal medicine. Her ability to now take the detailed, scientific deep dive into your health has been developed from her training and research in naturopathy (Bachelor of Health Science, Naturopathy), and agricultural science (Master of Science in Agriculture). Her passion for education and empowerment continues from her teaching (Graduate Diploma in Education), lecturing in Chemistry and Biochemistry (Endeavour College of Natural Heath) and recently Herbal Pharmacology (Torrens University Australia). She has a particular interest in gut and skin health, fertility, chronic conditions, and environmental toxins and has additional training in gut health, pathology and heavy metal detoxification.

She loves to garden, make natural skin care products, write, travel and delve into family genealogy. She’s an accredited editor (Institute of Professional Editing, Australia), mother of two adults and an elderly cat.
